Additionally, such a mounting design directs the cutting forces to the thickest part of the inserts, providing highly robust milling performance and increased metal removal rates.
The Square T4 Helical range includes T4-08 and T4-12 cutters. Made for roughing and semi-finishing operations of steels, cast irons and various difficult materials, these cutters bring smooth cutting action, good surface finish and minimal chatter to slotting and contouring applications. All cutters in the range have integrated through-coolant channels to provide extended tool life
The T4-08 Helical has cutting diameters that range from 0.98" to 2.13" and depths of cut between 0.87" and 2.52". Corner radii ranges from 0.02" to 0.063".
The T4-12 Helical milling cutters feature larger, tangentially mounted inserts to allow for increased depths of cut up to 0.5" and cutting diameters from 2" to 4". The curved-edge inserts are available in high-positive-rake geometries and corner radii up to 0.125" in the front row to address a wide variety of workpiece requirements.
